Recognize the model using the piston and connecting rod

    Hello,

    Could I ask if anyone can tell from the photo what model of Ferrari it is? There are several markings on the piston such as:

    AQ8363 C 61407231
    VXLR VXGN
    26947
    L.47 6166-01 93.935

    But from this information I didn't find out what model it is, I think it is a Ferrari 488, but I don't know 100% and I was curious.

    See if you can measure the diameter of the piston and look up engine specs on various Ferrari Engines and maybe you can deduct from there.
    I don't know how you can calculate a stroke length from the length of the connecting rod, to calculate displacement, etc. x8 or 10, but perhaps you can measure the internal diameter of the rod bearing and get another figure that may show up in various engine specifications, If you're willing to do the research.
    In the meantime, though, you have a very nice display ornament and it may just be ornamental and not from any existing Ferrari engine. I'd be proud to have that on my desk. I don't know that I can be of any help, but that's my opinion. What does the citation plaque on bottom left of the trophy state?

    The QR code doesn't work, or maybe it's not even a QR code even though it looks like it, I tried asking ChatGPT and other AI things directly and even they couldn't tell me exactly what it was.

    I'm intrigued by the middle, the cutout that's shaped like a bone. A lot of Ferrari models only have that one part as if it's bone shaped, but the other part is more to the inboard line or the tip.

    Apart from the inner part that resembles the shape of a bone, there is another thing that is not so common and that is the shape of the piston itself (the front part) which is also different from the ones I have seen.

    So I think it probably doesn't have any model and it is a special part as an award for me, like a medal which I like, and overall it looks great, but I was a bit curious and that's why I asked because I searched everywhere and no result.

    In the photo you can see:
    - Code
    - Some symbol or logo that looks like "AW" with the number 26947
    - It says on the piston: L.47 6166-01 93-935
    - Some kind of logo or text that's on the connecting rod, I see something like: pankj

    Pankl has been the supplier of titanium rods to Ferrari since they have been using titanium. Very big company. Mahle has traditionally been the piston supplier since 1983 but that may have changed. I do not see a Mahle logo. The beam of the rod is very narrow and suggests its from a very compact engine deck height wise. Its from a very under square engine but not as undersquare as the F1 12's. I have never seen a Ferrari trophy rod/piston that was not from a real engine. They get lifed out quickly so there are always many looking for a home better than the scrap metal bin.

    None of those. That reliefe is not for a valve. I suspect it is for a direct injected engine and that is to create turbulence below the ijector.
