    I am looking at buying my first Ferrari off of Jake’s Motor Cars which is located in San Diego CA.( Still undecided on the F1 vs. the manual.) Who would you recommend in this area to do the 3rd party inspection? If no one is in the area who would you recommend for me to pay to have to drive or fly to San Diego?

    Thoughts on Cavallo Motorsports to do the inspection? Cavallo Motorsports - Specializing in Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati in North County San Diego

    Gary Bobileff at Bobileff Motorcars. His place is a few miles from Jake's, 15-20 miles closer than Cavallo.

    Where do these inspections usually take place? At the dealership (Jake’s) or at the inspectors shop?

    I second Gary at Bobiliff for the PPI.
    Gary is very well know and respected in the industry. He is extremely busy but always has time to shoot the breeze about cars and is a true enthusiast.
    I just had my major done there.

    You will likely be very happy dealing with Jake and Mike at Jakes Motorcars too. I have had a couple transactions with them over the years. They are my favorite So Cal dealer for preowned exotics. Unfortunately for me their location is just a couple blocks from my office. It's difficult to not stop by more often!
