    Hi there,

I will be attending the 60th Anniversary event in Beverly Hills. I'm active in two regions of the FCA on the west coast (Pacific NW and Desert Region).

Since Ferrari hasn't really announced much in the way of a "gala" or anything expect the Sunday event I'd like to plan a couple get togethers for folks in my FCA regions that are traveling all the way to BH.

I could really use some recommendations of a few restaurants (one breakfast place and a couple of dinner places) that would have Ferrari-friendly parking with good food - perhaps within 10 miles of BH. Ideally parking for 10 - 20 Ferraris would be nice.

Thank you (in advance) for your thoughtful suggestions!

For that sort of parking, I would say hotels are a good bet.
Breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel, dinner at the Regent on Wilshire and Rodeo

There are City of Beverly Hills Public Parking garages located in the 200 North and 400 North Blocks of Canon Drive and Beverly Drive. You are able to enter/exit on either Canon and Beverly drives. The structure in the 200 Block of Beverly/Canon drive is an easier sub garage to enter and exit and is also used by the Montage hotel.
Once parked in those structures, Mastro's and Flemings steak houses with various Italian restaurants such as Spago, Il Pastaio, La Scala are all within close walking distances.
Reservations are a must there are several events happening in Beverly Hills this particular weekend.
Another consideration especially if you like garlic would be the Stinking Rose on La Cienega Blvd just North of Wilshire Blvd. They have their own parking lot and it might be possible to have them reserve areas where you can park unassisted. The Stinking Rose is basically an Italian place that uses a ton of garlic.
Lastly, you might be able to arrange parking at Two Rodeo 310-247-7040, 9480 Dayton Way, Beverly Hills (located between Rodeo Drive and Beverly Drive). Its a high end shopping facility with a Ferrari friendly drive way and underground parking structure that has been used during past Ferrari events. Once parked there all of the restaurants listed in the first paragraph are walking distance.
Hope that helps, see you at the event.

Valets aren't impressed by Ferraris in BH so they're just another car they need to carefully park. If something happens call the INS.

Otherwise, there's a good spot for breakfast here in Marina Del Rey called Killer Cafe which is connected to Killer Shrimp. Killer Shrimp does a regular car event in the lot so they'll take care of you guys.

    * Falls under the 10 mile category. ;)

+1 for the public parking garages. The Montage Hotel also has a nice one- Canon and Wilshire, or Beverly and Wilshire (2 entrances)

    -1 for the public parking.
I wouldn't park there. Retail workers and tourists in tight spaces, no thanks.

What is Ferrari friendly parking ?

I drive my Ferrari, I park my Ferrari... Are you asking for parking where you can take 2 spaces ?

Just drive the dammed thing, quit worrying about it. You guys would freak if you saw where my 360 gets parked regularly and NO door dings on my car. People are careful about parking next to Ferrari's, they might park next to a Mercedes, Toyota, etc. and ding the door but they appreciate a Ferrari and are careful. I am sure there is the exception out there but not found him/her yet. The only time I was real concerned was parking at LAX while I was on vacation and also one time in a motel near the border that was not the best neighborhood, both times nothing happened and I learned to drive it and not worry.

Get out oh BH and enjoy a drive. Head to Dukes in Malibu. Its a short drive up the coast and a nice drive if you avoid the peak traffic times. Give the Valet $10 and park it yourself on the far end of the lot.

    Thanks guys for the recommendations.

Is it feasible to have an FCA club drive departing BH out to Malibu on Saturday evening (assuming there is no "Grand Gala" planned by Ferrari)? Would you recommend Sunset Blvd to PCH? Is there another route that would be easier to keep 10 - 20 cars together?

    Thanks again for the input!

Agreed! I do a PCH run from Santa Monica to Malibu almost every weekend - typically San Vicente down through SM canyon then onto PCH. Great drive if you avoid the peak times as mentioned.

BH to the Ocean via Sunset can be good but again, as long as its at the right time. Also, the right hand lane in some parts is pretty beat up!

Was it BH and surrounding areas that was a stickler for front license plate?

I was stopped many years ago in BH for no front license plate on my M3. I still don't have one on any of my vehicles and haven't been stopped since then. Numerous cops have seen my 360 without a plate but have yet to stop me. Probably just good luck so far.....or maybe they just get that F-Cars are simply not meant to have front plates (wishful thinking!)

West Hollywood in brutal for the front plate. Never had a problem in BH- Always a ticket in WeHo if you park on any street or public parking lot. Not any issue if you are simply driving through. Just don't park in WeHo.
