What's next on the block for you by the way? Gallardo?

If so, it's worth the 30-50k for the MY06. Unbelievable how much better they are than the previous cars in every single dimension. Make it a point to rent/drive our MY04 coupes and then MY06 spider back to back. Night and day.

    Do the next GDC Tour.

I am looking at this 05 G down in FL right now. The 355 deal I was doing in cali kinda fell through because the guy turned out to be crazy. Im trying to figure out if I should wait the winter out and just buy a new car:)

Does the GDC Porsche convertible fall into the same category? I was thinking of the rental profile of that car as being similar. Perhaps not.

And, yes, the SL55 completely overwhelms Edgartown! Small world. Sorry is was rather gloomy on Sunday and Monday. Can you believe that was almost a month ago? Yikes. Love to Nicole!

IMO, NEVER buy a car from Florida. Come on, you're in the business and you don't know that?! :)

    Give me a call: 914-844-8799.

I think the target market of the Porsche Turbo is slightly different than the SL55. Different customer. Besides the fact that the Porsche is stick (it's a shame that no one can drive manual anymore), it's a much more 'raw' car (never thought I'd call a 996 raw) compared to the AMG. They'd probably rent at the same price point though.

What color would you guys get the SL in? Standard Mercedes silver? Black is too hard to keep clean and shows too many scratches and swirl marks.

I wish we knew ahead of time that you'd be there- we could've at least shared a decent meal..

What is the difference between a SL600 and the SL55AMG? besides the obvious S/C v8 vs twin turbo v12. They are rated at the same power.

For the color: How about white? I noticed you guys don't have a white car in the fleet. Or are you saving it for a more special car?

White is very difficult to keep clean unfortunately as it looks AWESOME on exotic cars. Maybe we'll get the McLaren F1 in white :).

Pretty similar performance between the two. Same price (almost).

And if the renter's pimp game is tight, that could equal more rental days.

Maybe you should consider a Nsx

It is extremly reliable and still quite exotic and I have seen many people ask on the nsx forum where they could rent one. It will probably be the cheapeset investment you make to the fleet and be another work horse. I have had mine for over 11 years with just basic maintance and it runs beautifully.

    Classics are always great/
These 3 aren't really high end exotics but you dont really get to see them around at all on the east. Atleast i havent:
    Ultima GTR
    Ariel Atom
    RHD Nissan Skyline R34

I can see that being a wild option... Open body, no side panels, and your face being blown off. Only problem is that it's good only during summer.

hmm let me throw my opinion although it is worthless :(

quattroporte would be a good one, pretty exotic and it sounds like a ferrari. would be a great partner to the m5

GT3 RS is too rough for city travel imho, i do not think it would be pleasureable for the tri-state. + you have to worry about people tracking it.

classics are not good reliability/repair wise imho

ultima = accident in unexperienced hands
ariel= is that even u.s. legal?
*note* a t-rex, as seen in the other thread would be a better alternative because it is technically a motorcycle

and skyline.......well it probably shouldnt even be in this thread

if ive said it once ive said it a 1000 times

997 tt would be the best!

lol..997TT is a machine. Definately have a feeling someone doesnt like Skylines, those are considered in some shape a supercar though. NO?

I'm sure that one of those'll end up in the fleet eventually. 997 is an unbelievable car...

Who's the target market for the Skyline? IMO, it's a sick car but it wouldn't rent.

lol you would have mainly older teenage boys trying to save up allowance money in order to rent the r34 skyline gtr. myself being one of them! :D ...maybe add an entry level car to the fleet such as a M3 or a RS4? Something with a clutch and a stick. None of that SMG/tiptronic crap. I still stick with my original suggestion, the NSX.

    2006 Koenigsegg CCX
    2007 Murci LP640

wonder how much they go for? 400k?
