Please recommend an excellent Ferrari independent to perform a PPI on a 355 or 360 in or near Silicon Valley. Thanks.

If you're not going with a dealer (FofSF, FofSC), then I'd recommend Brian. Ex-service manager of Ferrari of Los Gatos, an absolute no B/S artist, and very, very knowledgeble about the 355, 360s.

Not surprising. They are factory owned. The others are privatly owned so shouldn't be a problem.

A few years ago I had FoSV do an inspection on two 360's I was considering buying from Silicon Valley Auto Group, FoSV refused to call them PPI's and instead called them Safety Inspections. The reason I was told... legal liability if something bad happened after they inspected the car and declared it clean.

FofSF does not do PPI's for same reason and for sale liability problems. They as FoSV will do safety inspections which are more like the annuals.

However, the last/latest 456 I got last year was "PPI'd"[sic] by FofSV and they did NOT do a good job, missed radiator leak, missed an intake manifold leak, almost defunct motor mounts, and a couple smaller issues. IMO take it to Brian or someone else [ Perhaps Scott in Sacto??? ]. BTW, the inspection was done only two months before I acquired it.

    my 2 cents.
