I've used Autoglym polish on the window in my E type with good results. If Autoglym isn't available in the U.S. try a creamy polish, definitely one with no abrasive.

Meguiar's makes a couple of plastic cleaners and sealers we've used on isinglass and Plexiglas boat windows and parts. Does a good job.

Most glass shops will carry a plastic cleaner. It's designed for cleaning plexiglass only.

believe it or not - I've heard tooth-paste works better than anything.

I use tooth paste for LOTS of things. It, so far, has NEVER disappointed.

Crest original seems to be the best.

Best stuff is Porsche poly glass cleaner. I have tried them all that you have mentioned nothing works as well as this. Just be careful not to get it on any of the cloth top because it is very difficult to remove.

    Surely toothpaste is an abrasive?

Once you clean it, apply some 303 Aerospace Protectant. It will provide UV protection and keep it slick so that it does not scratch as easily when folding on itself.

Not to highjack the thread, but on a related note, anybody have a solution to cure permanent wrinkles/creases in a plastic rear window? I've tried cautious application of a heat gun, but they always come back after it cools.
