Granite Digital is holding strong in my humid environment. I really like the one above!
I've used about 7 different brands and types of battery maintainers and found they all function essentially the same. They may have tons of various charging steps, and charging modes, and other stuff...but ultimately I have never had one fail, and all worked fine. I would simply get whatever floats your boat. I have spent as little as $40 to as much as $150. Currently I like the Griots Garage maintainer, but there is nothing wrong with a Schumacher for $20 or $30 from WalMart. I have also used Deltran, SureCharge, NAPA brand, Yuasa and others...can't remember them all. The only exception might be if you have an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery, as some manufacturers of AGM batteries want you to use a maintainer with and AGM charging mode. Some AGM battery manufacturers claim you can use a standard maintainer. An equally useful tool to have is a battery load tester. Some battery maintainers have that built in as a secondary function. Save a Battery makes a version with that. It is also sold (relabeled I think) under the Griots Garage brand. (the difference is the Griots Garage version is molded in red plastic. I have not tried it yet, still in the package from when I "impulse" purchased it a few years ago. But I already have the Griots Garage electronic battery tester, so I have not needed another battery tester.
Being a new 360 spider owner I do not know much about the charging of the battery. I just purchased an 04 360 spider 3 weeks ago. I have read that we are not supposed to connect the charger directly to the battery but instead to some other spot. Please advise. Jeff
Jeff- That only applies to full size battery chargers with high amperage. Battery maintainers are not an issue.
