Can anyone recommend any smog stations or facilities for my F355 F1? I want to take my car to the smog station that is more familiar with handling Ferraris, especially on how to operate the F1 for in and out of the facility. Your help will be appreciated.

I've taken all my exotics (x4) to the Valero on Los Gatos Bvld in Los Gatos. They do many of the SVAG cars. They let me drive in/out and do my own test driving. I used the same guy each time. Hope he still works there.

Thank you for the valuable info. Though it is a bit longer drive than I hoped, I will certainly keep that on my list of candidates. I feel more confortable if these places let the Ferrari owners drive in/out of the place. But, I did not know that they also test drive your cars. Does every placetest drive before or after the smog test?

I used the Shell on Campbell Ave and San Thomas Aquino. They guys may not know Ferrari's but same treatment, drove my own.

It's not that they test drive the car (i.e., around the block), it's that many smog techs will sit in the car and do perform the rolling portion of the smog check (on a dyno). What I understood from above as that the places mentioned will allow the owner of the car sit behind the wheel and "conduct" the test while the tech waits outside the vehicle.

Exactly. He waits and stares at the machine.

Correct. I should have been more clear. :)
