Many Ferraris seem to live a pampered life of inactivity, which can often result in very little wear on tires over many years.

I understand that tires degrade over time.

My question: how much time should pass before a Ferrari owner should replace an otherwise nearly new set of tires?

In my case, the Pilots were put on new in 1995 and were like new when I got the car 2 years ago.

Yep, I had 7 year old tires on a truck that was lightly used. I had a small leak in one tire, took it to the tire shop and they were shocked and said they could not touch these tires for a repair.

A Ferrari is not a car you want a blow out on. Not fun having to chose a body shop to repair torn up wheel wells.
