    I'm buying my nephew a used Porsche Boxster and would like to get a PPI done this week. Any recommendation for an HONEST, competent independent mechanic in West Los Angeles? Thanks!

    Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills performed a PPI on my 993 Friday. I have to say they were very thorough

    Tom at Lucent Motors on Sepulveda north of Olympic. He has serviced my P-car for years. He is highly recommended on some of the Porsche forums (Rennlist/6speed). I have no affiliation to Tom.

    Not as good as the Auto Gallery... But they will go overboard and even misdiagnosed your car for work it doesn't even need or has been done (like my car). Nonetheless they are an authorized P dealer

    It's a bit far, but Turbo Ted in Costa Mesa. Very good, extremely honest, and very reasonable. I've been using him for years, as many dealers have as well.

    He has taken care of some of my issues on my F car but when ever I am in there its amazing how many P cars there are there.
