A friend of mine has asked me to recondition the leather on their Audi for them. Now I've used Furniture clinics products before and they worked well, but the damage on my friedns seat is absolutely tiny, it's literally just 2 minuscule little scuffs on the bolster. Now I could use furniture clinics products but it's quite an aggressive process where you have to sand the seat down, wipe the dye over the leather, then airbrush the seat and then apply the finish. This just seems quite extreme for what is honestly very minimum damage.

What I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions of other products I could use? I'm sure I've seen people on here using a dye you could wipe on?

    Thanks

    One word: Letherique.

For a full rejuvination of a 4 seat interrior, figure 40-48 oz of rejuvinator oil, and 32-oz of cleaner.

Would Leatherique help this leather interior? It seems impossible to clean. I thought about dying it black...

In my experience with a later Esprit with Magnolia (light tan) leather, it will help. I was always suprised at how much grime it lifted out.

Yes, it will make it a lot easier to remove the seats. I like to goop up the leather with a 2" wide paint brush, let it sit in a hot (85dF+) room overnight, goop up the leather again, and then use the cleaner. Don't start the cleaning process until the leather will take no more rejuvenator oil.

In this way, leatherique is unique. You treat the leather first, this lifts the soil, salts, and grime to the surface. Only after the leather is back, do you clean the crap off. In the case of the seats seen, I would use a soft-to-medium scrub brush and lots of elbow grease. When I did my F355 seats (whole interrior) last year the whole treatment took two full shades of dinge off the leather (no redye).

Be sure to post pictures, from what I've seen the results should be great.
