Just Finished putting this video together!

Stuart Hayim, now the owner of the Experience Auto Group (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale/Long Island), was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Treated at the Don Monti Memorial Research Center at North Shore Hospital, he was able to emerge a winner. He recently did a Record breaking run around Long Island and asked me to document the fun. My father was diagnosed with cancer when I was young and because of research facilities like the ones portrayed in the video he survived and I am very greatful for that. I would like to share this with you guys / girls as I know many of you will enjoy 3000+ hp on the water for a great cause.

Yes the average speed was around 120-123 but they would ramp it up to 150s from time to time.

very cool! love boats like that and spectacular scenery.

were there any issues with the CG, water patrol, etc to do that? i.e. special permits, etc.

Not really sure, I would assume you just have to let them know that a boat will be running those speeds, ( just so they don't think its a drug boat) and stop you mid run.

That boat is sick! 45mph in my old ski boat felt fairly fast - I cannot imagine how a top-end run in this thing must feel.

    Really nice video!

I had the pleasure of watching Stuart campaign his Recovery in the early nineties.
The sound those engines made on the water was amazing.

Here's a shot of Recovery in the 1994 World championships in key West.

Thanks, and he did it for a great cause!

Those Mercs were whistling till the end!

I believe in the right conditions it should be able to hit 170s (from what I have read) - now that would put some hair on your chest!!

Great shot. Im sure the sound it unbelievable from a distance! I set up mics around the motor bay and one near the driver. Synced it all together to form the sound in the video. If you have surround sound you can actually hear it lifting up out of the water!!

I, who am a good customer of Ferrari Fort Lauderdale, just recently was cured of Stage 4 lymphoma-I know what a miserable experience that is. Never met the Dad but of course know his son. Its funny but I was in off shore racing but that was back in the early 80's - when there was basically on safety systems - just stood up in bolster seats - last race I was involved in their were two deaths - very dangerous sport especially then

Very cool. Great video and nice to see him giving back to the facility that helped cure him.

So Glad to hear you are okay! and yes the racing is crazy, I was surprised they were not strapped in, but we did have a medic on the plane following the boat for good safety measure.

Thank you for viewing the video!

Thanks for your kind note - it looked like they had a perfect day weather wise - not like racing in Key West on a bad day

I also noticed the tribute to Ronnie's Dad - very nice touch - I don't think I have ever met a guy just like Ronnie before and I mean that in a really good way. We have become personal friends over the past few years and have had a blast whenever we are together - shop, track, lunch, dinner. I am always on him to rent a track for me and his many good customers to play on, and not only does it do it, but also hires a french chef for breakfast & lunch - nothing replaces style & grace

Normally, you will only see someone strapped in when running in an enclosed cockpit with onboard air. The last thing you would want is to be strapped in when capsized in an open cockpit ... better to be ejected.

Truly amazing to average 120 mph over 2 hours in a boat. This record will stand for a looong time!

But am very surprised that they didn't wear helmets...

Yes, Ronnie is a great Guy. He sure does know how to set up Hospitality! We will have a really nice setup for the Ferrari Challenge in Homestead end of September! Also I believe we have met. You have the Red Scud and Lotus correct? If not My apologies.

    Very True.
