    I know there is companies that track album sales of all the records in stores....is there any website that displays this information??

    Billboard does report sales in 'gross'/ sort of like the NY Times
    Best Seller list- but Soundscan- now owned by Nielsen (yep, those same folks that put the little black boxes on TV sets back in the 60's) is usually the source for specifics- it is a subscriber service, though, so I doubt you'll get much detailed info without buying it from them. FWIW, the Billboard charts are based on Soundscan data.
