Time: 8:30AM - 10:30AM Date: Saturday May 14th Place: The Grove in Shrewsbury (there is a Starbucks) Address: 597 Route 35 Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 A few requests: 1) Lets park further away from the shops this time. I suggest the row of parking spaces which runs alongside Hwy 35N. By parking further away we won't mix as easily with wide car drivin', SUV luvin' shoppers and coffee seekers. Added potential bonus - folks driving past in nice cars should see us more easily and stop. Hello Gallardo and 599GTB drivers! 2) Please obey all posted speed, traffic and parking signs. Let's try to make this gathering a little less random - still very casual but less random. The second Saturday of every month has been suggested, with the third Saturday a "rain date" of sorts. Spread the word! I look forward to seeing the normal crew again and hopefully some new faces and neat cars. Scott The dates for 2011 are listed below. Saturday, May 14, 2011 Saturday, June 11, 2011 Saturday, July 09, 2011 Saturday, August 13, 2011 Saturday, September 10, 2011 Saturday, October 08, 2011 Saturday, November 12, 2011* Saturday, December 10, 2011* * ever the optimist
I will try to be there with the 348 and the wife driving the Mondial. Let's hope for good weather! Thanks, Erik
I'd like to make a recommendation: That you change the name of this event from C&C to something else. I know that when I open up a thread labeled C&C I expect to see stuff related to the Cars and Croissants of Chatham. Or am I the only one being confused?
I love the Chatham event and will be up there tomorrow if the weather holds but "C&C" is a generic term used in lots of forums as well in other regional forums on Fchat. Take a look at the mid-Atlantic region to see how many individual Cars & Coffee events there are - that is where my desire for a Red Bank event came from, from the gatherings my brother and his friends have in Westchester. There are even a number of websites dedicated to this sort of gathering: http://usa.carsandcoffee.info/ http://www.cars-and-coffee.com/ Chatham typically has Chatham in their thread titles and I've been careful to always put Red Bank in these threads titles. Hopefully this is enough. : )
Keep C&C - I agree that it's the known term for this type of gathering. Can't make this one gents - I coach girls soccer, and games are Saturday. Moving up to travel next year, so my Saturdays will be free (but my Sundays will NOT )
Thanks Scott. My Ferrari probably won't be back on the road yet in time but I'll be by. Hopefully Tom can stop by. He just exchanged his Noble for a 997 GT3.
Looking forward to it but also keeping an eye on the forecast. The rest of the week looks nice but showers are currently at 40% for Saturday. The April edition of the Jersey Shore PCA "Shoreline" newsletter had a article with some pictures about the C&C so hopefully we see some news faces. Would love to see the GT3. Hopefully your 360 is in for "just" routine service. If the weather doesn't cooperate it will ruin two car events for me. I am going out to the Reading Concours on Sunday as well. Rain, rain go away.... : )
+1 I agree that the reference to Red Bank in the title clearly distinguishes this C&C from any other.
Yearly fluid changes, new tires, and a different muffler. Just started it up last night but the bumper & challenge grill are still off. I work on the Ferrari very, very slowly.
The weather forecast for Saturday has steadily improved all week and it looks like we'll be rain free for Saturday morning. Right now the forecasts I look at are showing "Mostly Cloudy" with a 20% chance of rain early, dropping to 10% around prime C&C time. Unless something changes drastically, I plan to be there. See you all tomorrow morning! Scott
I'm not going to make it - very upsetting. Do my best to make the next one. Good luck with the weather - have fun! Erik
Nice turnout today. Great to see some new faces as well as some of the "regular" crowd. Pictures to follow soon... Off to my brothers for Reading tomorrow, if the weather plays nice.
