The answer is B. RB was caught cheating. How can 3 other teams all a sudden find a magic bullet to be faster than RB? All at the exact same timing? !! lol

Has to be. Now Mcl has something going on. Not saying a cheat, but they found something much bigger than normal evolution. Maybe Ferrari needs flexy bits ASAP

I wouldn't put Mcl on the same level as RB performance gain. Every car wings flex to a degree. Every car has that in common. But a unique braking system that aids driver input and controls the car behavior, that's another level. and I wouldn't be surprised if Max only had it on his car

Pretty much. I've defended Red Bull and Max from unfair attacks, but the results have really spoken at this point.

Max had illegal brakes that created a car balance he depended on. Now that they've been removed, he's struggling to cope. It would make sense for RB to only configure them to Max's car, and not on Perez's car, similar to how Schumi alone got the launch control at Benneton.

Obviously Max is a great champion and talent. No doubt in my mind he'd have won last years title without the illegal brakes in question - if they were on at that point. Again, for me it's like how Schumi was on another level, with or without the sketchy stuff. It's just these ground effect cars are super sensitive on balance, and something like new brakes can turn a great into a POS for the driver.

Still, all things come around. RB rubbed Ferrari's nose in it when they caught them cheating in 19', and the latter would have every right to crow right now.

Post evidence that they were not using illegal parts, just a shred. Neither of us are a RB mechanic. All we can do is look at the results that since they released the the ban, RB and Max is struggling. And it was most likely on Max's car only, hence the reason he was always consistantly faster than Perez.

The FIA has already said NO team used the system. There is your evidence.

Not going even to entertain that last backward statement of yours.

There is no secret illegal "thing" on RB. Even back when Ferrari has the mysterious and undisclosed agreement with the FIA, there was still reports that "something" was up. Nothing has come about with RB. And... everyone pretty much hates RB so if there was a whiff of reality to it... it would be talked about.

If anyone is "cheating" its clearly McLaren. Both the front and rear wings are suspect, yet nothing will be done... not now anyway. F1 and the FIA want this to go to the wire. No one wants RB to be the champions for many different reasons... valid or not. There's a thumb on the scale somewhere. I think that's pretty obvious at this point.

“We traced the development history back and it turned out that the first mistake we made was with an underbody upgrade in 2023 in Barcelona,” said Horner. “That was also the grand prix from which Checo started having problems with the car. We just didn’t take it so seriously because Max kept winning.” Horner

Well that means they got a touch lazy lol

Not really. Even when Ferrari had their illegal fuel flow trick sniffed out, it was really only Red Bull that were explicit in accusing them of cheating.

The fact remains that Max's sudden decline can't be explained by a failed development spec alone, and it's too soon for Newey's departure to effect them. Whatever going on is not just aero alone, it has to be something structurally on the chassis has changed.

No, RBR were not caught red handed with a cross braking configuration, but then Ferrari didn't get caught by the FIA either. Neither team are stupid enough to show up to a race with an illegal part that they know their rivals are aware of, and are waiting to protest a formal accusation. Better to stop, get slower, and at least avoid the proof being found and exposed beyond doubt.

Newey stopped "development" of the car since April.

Horner also said they were having issues that started in Barcelona and have continued.
