Ah yes. Threats of Perez getting booted brings threats of Mexican money leaving the team.

Everyone knows when Perez leaves all his sponsors and all his merch sales leave too. This is why he is still there. All of that is worth a heck of a lot more than $10 million an extra place in the WCC gives.

A majority of RedBull team sponsors are not Mexican. RedBull will not be short of money or sponsors to replace Slim. There is a difference between personal and Team/Corporate sponsors. RedBull get zero of the money from personal sponsors that adorn the clothing and helmet of Failure at Top Team Expert Perez. The myth of Mexican money fails to die lol. RedBull can fund this entire operation on their own. This is not a poor Corporation. Look at the public numbers. Count the sponsor of the team not Mexican. The world is awash in wealth and sponsors willing to be visible on RedBull's cars hence the new AT&T deal that is something Slim was not happy with. Well.........your personal F1 driver is bad Mr Slim lol. Im glad he has money so does RedBull and they get most of their cost covered in money from the FIA at the end of the year thanks to the cost cap. Old news this all is.

That is true of several teams, like Mercedes, Ferrari and Audi too probably.
They still want sponsors because F1 is a money-making business for them.
Also, like someone says " It's smart to use other people's money to go racing rather than your own!"

Nobody is saying Red Bull needs the Perez sponsors, but any corporation, especially ones that are publicly traded is not in the interest of reducing their profits. Walmart, Google and Amazon could increase the wages of their employees that make less than $100k a year by 20% and still make billions. But they won't because it eats into their profits and their share value goes down.

I don't know why you say Mexican money is a myth when you were the one that posted that primary Perez sponsor, Telmax is threatening to pull out. Not sure why you say zero money goes to Red Bull. Where do you think that money goes?

A lot of drivers in history have brought personal sponsorships. Most of the time the money goes to the team and they put the sticker on the car even though it's tied to the driver. Schumacher had Dekra and Alonso has Kimoa. It's reasonable to assume most of the money, if not all goes to the driver. However the drivers would have some sort of contract that allows them to wear their personal sponsorships over the team gear or team sponsors and the team could ask for a percentage of the money to allow it.

Besides all the sponsor talk, I mentioned that Perez still sells more merch. Something like 65% of the Red Bull merch is of Perez alone.

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Im a victim now?? Toughen up and blame yourself/your driving. I guess Mika, MS, SENNA and others had Brit passports lol!!
Pathetic and needless. Shut it and drive......

Schumacher, Senna, Vettel, Alonso ALL got horrendous treatment from the British press. Alonso at first was liked because he went against Britains arch enemy Michael but the moment he sat next to Hamilton the entire narrative shifted.

Vettel was loved at first because he wasn't threatening, just did well at races here and there but wasn't going to challenge the British established drivers for wins/titles. The moment he had a title contending car, the narrative shifted.

It's exactly the same for Michael and for Max.

If you look at how Max said he certainly didn't portray himself as a victim. He's openly mocking the FIA and the British press for the biased losers that they are.

It's the same thing for the swearing. In Singapore Max swore once and Herbert was very quick to react and how bad and inappropriate it was.

In USA Herbert was a steward, Leclerc swore, and nothing happened. What changed? I think a penalty for swearing is ridiculous anyways but it's yet more proof that there IS an inherent bias. Leclerc right now is non-threatening and a bit of a press darling anyways, so they goble it all up. It's ridiculous.

The same Herbert that says the F word is inappropriate also did this on live TV:

Is he going to commit seppuku now or something for doing a bit of sexual assault? I wonder what his view was on Mazepin when he did it to a woman?

This is deliberate against RB/Max. RB has been imploded
for dominance. Merc on the other hand was encouraged for the sake of the darling activist.

I read that the stewards were going to decide on Leclerc's swearing at the InterlagosGP either today(11-1-24) or tomorrow. We wait.

    We wait indeed.

But even so...why immediate action in Singapore yet now we have to wait a week minimum?

Last week it was 5 people to blame for Max's actions. This week we included FIA, Herbert, Schumacher, and the governor of Alaska.

Love the consistency and yet more proof of the bias.

FWIW it's roughly an hours worth of income penalty for Leclerc.

So the reason WHY the inconsistencies between Max's swearing and Leclerc's swearing is because in Leclerc's situation, he apologized after swearing and in Max's case Max didn't apologize as told by the FIA.

So with that being said by the FIA:

    1) IF Max hits someone on the track and apologizes, will Max get a reduced penalty or possibly even a fine.

    2) IF Max speeds through a double waved flagged and apologizes afterwards, will Max get a reduced penalty or possibly even a fine.

    3) IF Max comes into the pits BUT goes back on track and crosses the solid white line at pit entry and apologizes afterwards, does Max get a reduced penalty or possibly even a fine

    4) IF Max gets released from his pit garage and ALMOST hits another car ALREADY in the pit lane and apologizes afterwards, will Max get a reduced penalty or possibly even a fine.

I could go on and on and on.........

Does anyone see where this is going?

I saw Toto Wolff (Sakhir2020) after the race at a post interview on LIVE TV and someone asked Toto about what happened to Russell's 1st pit only to be followed by a 2nd pit stop because of a different tire(s) on the car and Toto's response was "It was a colossal cluster f***!" (Toto offered no apology after saying it NOR did Toto get fined by the FIA afterwards).

F1 is turning into a "Barbie Doll" environment.
