    Because of the RB19 potential.
Perez is hugely underperforming with it since Monaco..

+1 the car does not appear to overtly favor Max’ style. Checo is very inconsistent of late.

Putting some pressure on is the logical step. But lets be aware that the press typiccaly "adds" words to what has been said. My bet is that rb currently has no intentions to replace checco. Obviously the will think ahead in case perez does not improve. In the end rb is there to be the best team and that requires the best drivers. For me it is common sense they add some pressure. But im also sure the want to maintain stability so their first focus is to work with checco to understand the reason for his current underperformance

Usually Perez will improve the last three races this year and just will say after he will be able to win WDC in 2024 !:p

    Let's see: 2nd, 1st, 5th + FL, 1st and 1st at Baku, 2nd, 16th at Monaco, 4th, 6th + FL. 126 pts and 2nd in WDC.

I don't see anything catastrophic there ! Everything said about Perez is out of proportion, IMO.

Perez, like many, talks too much*. He should keep his mouth shut !

*That is if everything printed and said isn't media invention. They like to stir up the pot, don't they.

Well depends on what car you drive..
    Isn’t it ?
The Miami race was a turning point I guess..
This day he was absolutely humiliated by Verstappen.
Difficult to recover from this, no doubt.

    ????? Checo finished 2nd at Miami !!!

More seriously when you are on pole while your mighty teammate start 9 and be beaten on pure pace by him is just devastating for a driver ego don’t you think ?
C’mon William you are fully aware of that.
Mentally this is VERY difficult to deal with.

"Devastating for a driver's ego" to be beaten on pure pace. Really ? It happens all the time !!!
Don't you think that Perez grew a thick skin after all his years of racing.

I am sure he was believing to be a real contender after his good season start.
The wake up call was pretty brutal I would say..
I have no other realistic explanation to his bad results since..

If Checo thought he would be allowed to challenge Max, he was not being very realistic.

Not everything is in the hands of the driver, remember that.

RedBull team-2. Rebrand lol. Guess FIA can toss those new team applications

AlphaTauri to be rebranded in F1 2024, says Marko
AlphaTauri is set to be renamed for the 2024 Formula 1 season as part of the team’s ongoing restructure under new Red Bull management, according to Helmut Marko.

AlphaTauri is in-line for a management restructure as long-serving team boss Franz Tost will step aside at the end of the campaign to be replaced by respected Ferrari racing director Laurent Mekies.

Marko has now said that this extensive overhaul will extend to the AlphaTauri name. Speaking to Austria’s Kleine Zeitung, the 80-year-old explained: “AlphaTauri will have two new leaders in Laurent Mekies and Peter Bayer [the outgoing FIA general secretary] from 2024.

“There will be new sponsors and also a new name. The orientation is clear: based on Red Bull Racing, as far as the regulations allow. Do-it-yourself constructions are the wrong way.”

The future of the Faenza team was the subject of considerable speculation at the start of the year.

This followed the late-2022 death of Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz and the installation of a new company leadership structure while AlphaTauri struggled with its adaption to the ground-effect rules.

Last month, however, Red Bull motorsport advisor Marko confirmed that a decision had been made to retain AlphaTauri - which sits bottom of the constructors' standings - but that the main hub of the operation would move to the UK.

This will allow the team to build around its aerodynamics outpost at Bicester and allow for greater collaboration with reigning constructors’ champion Red Bull to improve form and save money.

Marko said of the grand prix team that won the 2008 and 2020 Italian Grands Prix: "The decision has been made. AlphaTauri will remain fully owned by Red Bull and will continue to be run as a junior team.

"The cooperation with Red Bull Racing will be closer, also in terms of cost cap and synergies."

AlphaTauri formerly ran under the Toro Rosso moniker between 2006 and 2019. Its rebrand was seen as a way to boost the awareness of Red Bull's fashion division AlphaTauri.

But questions were raised internally by new Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff about the limited impact that the F1 operation has had in increasing brand exposure.

Ahead of a rename, there remains uncertainty surrounding the immediate future of the driver line-up. Full-time F1 rookie Nyck de Vries is under pressure to keep his seat heading into the European leg of the calendar after a string of crashes.

The Formula E and FIA F2 champion has finished behind team-mate Yuki Tsunoda in six of the eight GPs held so far this season.

It’s how they synch with the floor. The floor is the overall key to aero performance for this current aero F1.

Red Bull’s downwash sidepods not why it is dominating F1 – Allison
Mercedes technical director James Allison insists Red Bull’s downwash sidepod choice is not the reason it is dominating Formula 1 – even though others have now headed in that direction.

I thought one of the reasons Toro Rosso ne Alpha Tauri were still based in Faenza Italy was because the original sale of Minardi required they stay in Italy and not move to another country. Am I wrong? Was there a time limit? Confused, as I know I heard a reason other groups weren't interested when Red Bull first considered selling, prior to rebranding as Alpha Tauii, weas the staying in Italy clause?

RedBull essentially has 4 cars now on the grid. The amount of sharing Marko alludes to is interesting. Clear they are not happy to see the team whatever its name doing poorly. So it will still be a 'junior' team lol. Sure.................

Father of Daniel Ricciardo's girlfriend admits Ferrari want to sign him (gptoday.com)

    Question to Gerhard Berger“

How strong should the second driver be?

If he’s too strong, then you have stress in the team with constant tension and friction that becomes very difficult to manage.

“But if he’s too weak, then it’s still difficult because he’s not scoring enough points.”

That's the problem at Red Bull with Perez. Nice problem to have if your team leads the WCC and the WDC !!!

I was working for European Minardi at the time the team's sale to Red Bull was being negotiated during 2005. There was indeed a requirement to stay in Faenza, but I don't know what the time limit might have been. The end of 2025 will thus mark 20 years since Red Bull's takeover, which might have some bearing. The proposed move could have two very significant advantages for Red Bull. First, I'm sure they will get some kind of dispensation from the FIA for major investment in expanding their UK facilities. Second, it will be a blow to Ferrari, which has long relied upon Faenza as source of young technical staff from ranging mechanics to engineers and designers.
