Yeah I agree not all men in prominent positions choose infidelity.

Yeah, even in a real trial they look at a person's history. I genuinely didn't know of his history, so I was just asking.

I don't know if he is squeaking clean or not, and I don't care.
Anyone who doesn't incur a court sentence is OK with me. And even then ...
I simply see this business as an attempt to smear the character of a bloody good team principal.
It has succeeded in a way.

Also, Horner doesn't have a history of infidelity that's been known to the public...fyi.

That’s the point…because of the allegation, you now question him. No allegation, no questions. Crap like this has the half life of U-235.
I hope the “claimant” is revealed!!!

They go for "trial by public opinion" rather than "trial by jury."

    Correct.
And the “public” has no knowledge, so, like the media, some of the “public” just makes stuff up…kind of similar to this thread.

I'm not sure his previous wife would agree with that. The one who was pregnant when he ran off with a spice girl.
He does have a history of infidelity, however that should have no bearing on this case. It's a bit like questioning a woman's morals or history during a rape trial - completely irrelevant.

rumors that the entire package of "evidence" in this case has been leaked to media, team principals, and FIA leadership.

if it clears Horndog I don't see the problem over than breach of privacy. but still a continued drama

This package of evidence has yet to be validated as it is coming from an anonymous source.

Unfortunately, Plan A didn't work so "they" are going to Plan B. Persistent bunch these people.

What is the speculation about who ‘these people’ are? I thought Max and Horndog had a good relationship. I guess not. Lol

Of course now Toto is stirring the pot questioning the result ... just believing there has to be more. Merc might be the most unlikeable team in history.

After what... 3 weeks and an independent judicial arbitrator they found that there was nothin afoul. What more do people need to know? It's done and over after a vigorous review. If you've ever worked in a big corporation you'll see how these things go down all the time. Women posses an unbelievable amount of power that can crush a man's career with a single sentence... a single lie made out of anger or rejection or any number of other reasons. If Horner did abuse her or harm her or retaliate against her in any real way, then he should be fired and sent off. That doesn't appear to be the case, however, and I believe it given the pure weight of the global attention this matter received. RB couldn't possibly just sweep it under the rug.

Imagine a woman you work with making a claim that's false... but you still get fired because your reputation is trashed and the pressure just becomes untenable for the organization. That happens... I've seen happen. So good for RB for not cratering to pressure. In the meantime, I wish someone would just shut Toto up once and for all. I'm now just waiting for Lewis to hold a press conference questioning the outcome and stating that "we must believe all women."

You would've been far better off copying the tweet below. And she would've been far better off not tweeting what is very obviously fake information without that bit immediately on the first tweet.

I am far from anti Horner, but you have to be extremely naive to think that someone in Horner's very high profile position, surrounded by huge bucks and huge politics can't make a scandal go away even if he was guilty. Most likely money and a gag order would have got thrown around. We can't go by anything the media put out there in terms of some 650,000 pound offer because the media was nothing but fabricated BS the entire time. We still have zero information and even less fact of what he was accused of. My point is the extremely rich and powerful people in the world get away with a lot of horrible things. Just because the case was dismissed doesn't mean he didn't do something wrong.

On the flip side, he could be completely innocent. In this sad world its not all that uncommon for someone to fabricate lies looking for a paycheck or even just some sort of revenge. Look at the Trever Bauer case for example.

We all can form our own opinions to which is which and about Horner the man, but in accordance to official rulings, he was not found guilty of any wrong doings.

It is quite humorous how this thread has moved along. Many on the witch hunt against Horner, calling him names and all be considered him guilty. Then adding rumors of Red Bull and other Red Bull employees having a hate for Horner and this was a giant scheme to get rid of him. Now it has turned to "I knew Horner was innocent all along" and that the claimant is a lying whore that needs to be punished.

It’s not all that surprising such a leak would come on the heels of a very opaque investigation and then an “exoneration”. The info leaked is incomplete as supposedly there are over a thousand texts, but the blocks of messages published illustrate an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate woman and infer a sexual relationship which would be grounds to get canned from virtually any job let alone a team principal.

Lots of legal papers and lawsuits over how and if a subordinate can reasonably consent to a relationship with a superior and it’s why so many companies have policies expressly prohibiting them all together.
