    To me, the token system discourage any potential engine supplier to step in. The cost of the technology is already prohibitive, but on top of that there is a definite brake in development.
    A large firm like Honda may swallow the cost, but the lack of freedom is soon felt.

    It does encourage teams to court engine suppliers.

    IF Renault stays, and RBR lands VAUG, then maybe the system is working after all. If Renault exits, and RBR/TR exits, then it ended up rubbish.

    F1 right now, looks like a big money vacuum trying to get itself into as many pants as possible.
