That's cool! Does anyone remember a few years ago when Players had their simulator set up in one of the Montreal bars? It was their full CART cockpit, but obviously no hydraulic mounts! I took so many turns in that thing they finally gave me a jacket!
simulator time, even when the simulator itself is so advanced like F1 teams have, is actually much much much cheaper than real track time. anyway the test ban is unrelated; teams have simulators regardless.
I'm just noticing WHERE the cost reduction in testing bans has obviously gone. That RB simulator has got to be at least $500K. I wonder if the Virgin or HRT sims look anything like the Red Bull sim. Image Unavailable, Please Login
But that's NOT where the money has gone. The teams already had simulators, and even if testing were allowed, they would still have and use them.
