    Why can't they just leave anything alone? :confused: It'll probably only share the main theme with the original story, US being invaded by an outside nation(s) so why the "remake." I could probably go for a Red Dawn inspired movie but not a rehash of the original. Besides, where are they gonna get a cast like the one they had (Starring Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C.Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson and Jennifer Grey)?

    I was in high school then...certainly don't remember having the "heck" scared out of me. I agree that Hollywood should stop with the remakes, but then again, who are the fools when the movies make money?

    If they base the new movie on high school kids today, the fat lazy bastrads will all be dead in the first five minutes. Short movie.

    Loved the original--just saw it last week on TBS I think....At the time it was considered the most violent film ever made because of the amount of killing....
