Does anybody know the history of this Enzo?

    http://www.algarferrari.com/more_info.php?cr=1W3C1J

This Enzo looks somewhat different from the ones that I've seen because of its seats (cloth). It has 2000 miles and an asking price under 1 million. Does this mean that the Enzo is dropping in price as it is getting older and warranty is running out? Or is it because of the mileage? Considering a 2 year old car, I don't think 2000 miles is that bad at all. At least it's not a garage queen. Just my thought.

2000 miles in 2 years. I'd say it spends a lot of time in the garage.

Price is probably adjusted to current market conditions (no takers at $1Mil+). Good point on the warranty. I'm sure some will dump their Enzos as prospect of paying for expensive parts and repairs becomes an issue (same with 360's). Prices may further adjust then.

Does that mean I have a chance to buy one at a "reasonable price" in a few years? :)

Hey, Willis...! Don't get any bright ideas...! If we're in the market at the same time, stay away from the black ones...!!!

    Please remember!!

TAKE THE KEYS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES WHEN DEMO'ING THIS BEASTIE!!

You will be Donald Ducked if you loose the Enzo in the same way you lost the F50!!

Message to our Colonial chums - has the F50 ever been recovered? Sorry if it's a moot point chaps but they have now been warned or is it reminded?

    (sorry I'm still sniggering).

Having studied Enzo values for the last year, then finally buying one, I found that cars with delivery miles (under 500) are worth about $100K more than 2000 mile cars. Buying a car with a few hundred miles makes the car "your" car. Buying a car with 2000 plus miles makes the car a used car! The cloth seats on the Enzo at Algar may be a non issue or a big issue, it depends. Million dollar car owners want to sit on leather! Yes cars will change hands, but remember there are only 90 US spec cars. As they change hands and get into collections, they become unavailable. How much money can you throw at Roger Penske to get him to sell his Enzo? Answer: You don't have enough! He cannot replace it with anything better. How much will it take to get Steve Wynn to sell his Enzo? Answer: you don't have enough money! So as the 90 get sucked up into various collections, The supply will surely dry out! When was the last time you saw an Enzo in Autoweek? Not lately, probably not this year! SLR's, Carrera GT's are a dime a dozen in Autoweek and on the internet. Of the 5 Enzo's for sale at the DupontRegistry.com, the three (same car) from Ferrari of Orange County is sold. The Beverly Hills car is sold. so Algar's is the only one left. Supply and demand! I think the price will remain steady at $1mm to $1.1mm for 1000 to 2000 mile cars and possibly go up as time goes on. Algar's car is a bargain!

I guess you have to believe in the value if you bought one because you believe in the value.

I personally think that Enzo's will settle under a million and that several will change hands. There are not 90 people in the US who have bought their cars in perpetuity. There will always be Enzos for sale. Sometimes just 1 and sometimes more. When they reach 30 years old their rarity will have an effect on their value, but not now. Now they are simply the current supercar and the warranty issue will be huge in giving owners pause as to whether they want to stay in that exclusive club, or cash out while the profit is still significant. I bet they will go down somewhat before they stabilize and then begin the long slow climb into icon status like 275GTB4's.

SP, or should I call you Sir Percy Blakeney?

    Nice post.

I'm sure the folks at Algar will take your advice to heart.

And in true SP style, you choose to remain anon. How cute.

With regard to your request for serial numbers I am sure many of the ol' hands on here would point you to Garretto's weighty tome of the Enzo register on http://www.enzoregister.barchetta.cc

I think that would give you a good idea of some of them. I know it has been a 'work in progress' for Garretto for a while now.

BTW Thank you for your kind words above DM. Like Sir Percy I will maintain being anon but that said I kind of like this place. The Cavallino runs right the way through.

    Yo Red.

When you've been here a while, you'll know that serial numbers are a running joke with Carbon, AKA NNO.

I was bustin' his chops. He's in charge of ENZO INFO.

    And of course, you're welcome.

    Enjoy your stay.

I had heard that steve wynn is 95% blind, is that true. No chance he'll ever even drive the car. That would suck! I would be incredibly upset not to be able to drive it.
