Anybody know if I would have a problem ignoring a red light ticket on Long Island with a car registered in Florida. How would they penalize me if I didn't pay it?

A bench warrant would most likely be issued for your arrest for failure to pay or appear. I received a red light ticket (my first ticket in 20+yr's) but I paid the $75 fine after watching the video because I was blatantly guilty and it did not effect my driving record or insurance. Go ahead and pay it simply because the hassle and inconvenience of getting arrested would far outweigh the cost.

    Good luck.

I paid it, but it was such a marginal infraction. Right on red and the car was basically stopped, but I guess didn't come to a dead stop. My question was really more about how they would pursue me when the car isn't a NY vehicle and is registered in Florida.

The city PD will have your plate number but how it is handled in NYC is beyond me.
