I'm still debating on what one to get. Going by all the pictures I have seen the Red Line looks to be the better of the two, and it's like $75 less.

    Pro BBR: Nicer tail lamps.
Cons BBR: Horrible looking tires, shields that are way to big, oversized exhaust tips and wheels that can't compare to the Red Line's.

Pro Red Line: Much better wheels, great tires, better sized shields and exhaust tips.
Cons Red Line: Tail lamps aren't as well sized as BBR's.

Anyone have any input here before I buy, like more pictures? Thanks!

i am too lazy to type. My link basically has my opinions and some others about different F430. I ended up buying a BBR F430. I think it is pretty nice except it is not 100% accurate (see my link please).

WOW, the Looksmart models are nice! Plus they cost less then the BBR's.
I think we might have a winner, anymore opinions?

Anyone have one? PLEASE post pics, thanks!

I prefer collecting red and yellow ones but the Looksmart F430 looks stunning in Blue/tan.

If I remember correctly, Looksmart is made by MR Models (high end resin like BBR). I believe they offer a lower msrp by stripping some subtle detail. I have a couple and think they are an excellent value in most cases, the F430 included.

Your right, I've done some research. The MR Models series are going to be super-high detailed ones, including opening features. The Looksmart ones won't have any opening parts. But I looked at some pics of them, for a little over $100 they look as good or better then the Red Line's, and IMO as good if not better then BBR. NICE models....Looksmart looks to be my choice as of now!

I´ve read that IXO will come with a range of Ferrari-models, named Ferrari Collection. Since their 360 Modena is very good (imho), I´m eagerly awaiting their announced F430. Mid-range quality for a low-range price.

Yeah I already have the IXO Enzo... its pretty nice for $35.00 USD, but it definitely aint no BBR. Im not aware of an upcoming 430 from them though.

I've read it in a Dutch modelling magazine. They'll even do a Scaglietti, alongside F40, 355 and 456. I'm in desperate need of their 365 GTC/4, which is done under the Fabbri brand.

Have a look at the newest arrived models to get a better picture of what IXO have to offer....

agreed - I was also deterred by the 288 wheels

I already have the Herpa 288GTO which is a nice alternative (read:cheaper) to the BBR.

Are you sure that is a Herpa model?

Herpa did make a 288 GTO, but it looks somewhat different to me.

Yes, just to clarify... the Herpa F40 is their Precision Plastic series (I have one also), but the 288 is diecast.

Interesting note abt the F40... Herpa did not add the black stripe which runs the beltline all-around the car. I bought an ultra-thin ink pen from an artists supply store and drew it on myself. It was a nice improvemt. I'll try to get some pix of it tmrw.
