I was planning on buying the RedLine Stradale, but at closer inspection I think the finishing touch isn't all that fantastic. So I'm gonna pass.

    Hi,
GTE - Just interested to know what parts in particular you did not think too much of on the Red Line model? I recently bought a few models from a builder / trader and he seemed to think they are very good in comparison. I have also read on their website that they purposefully use a less sinly paind and apply it thiner (but in scale to the model) this claiming theirs are more realistic.

I still do not a aany Red Line models - I do have a few BBR and R.P models whcih are fantastic - and at first glance at this dimly lit trade show the RedLine looked good too. Just wanted to know what in particular you think stood out as being "not all that fantanstic"...?

    Not nit-picking just interested?
    Cheers, Mark

I just ordered the Redline CS from EWA yesterday. Will definitely let you my impression of the details when it arrives. I chose it over the BBR version, not because it was cheaper, but because I thought the wheels looked more accurate. The BBR's flat photoetched wheels leave me cold.

Conversely, I passed on the Redline Enzo because they got creative with the rim lips. BBRs Enzo wheels are more convincing IMHO.

BBR cast wheels simply suck...they are flat and ugly. Their wire wheels are great and have been great for years...but for years they have made ugly cast wheels. Even MR does a better job

Received my 1:43 Redline Challenge Stradale today... Im very impressed with it - it displays very well next to my BBR 360. Paint finish is excellent, and overall trim looks great. They even used a red tampo to simulate red stitching on the dashpad. Nice use of photetched script emblem on engine cover and rear cavallino. Biggest plusses are flawless replicas of the BBS wheels, and perfect ride height. Only glaring shortcomings wld be a Stradale stripe that looks like a water-transfer style, and the tires look too shiny/plasticky. Fender shields are a touch too large, but not terrible. Redline's color is more like Rosso Scuderia, and makes basically all my other 1:43's look like theyre Rosso Corsa. Overall, a welcome addition to my collection which includes BBR, Heco, Herpa, MR, and PMA among others.

Heres a few pix I took tonight - sorry Im no photo pro.

I wasn't too impressed with overal detail finishing, such as exhausts and rearviewmirrors, but looking at the pics Greg just posted, I'm clearly wrong!
