Does anyone know what the red plastic, roughly credit card sized, card that came with my 2007 430 refers to? It’s got CARD CODE moulded into it along with a bar code sticker and some other digits. Any ideas please. Thanks

Is the answer not in your owners manual ?

I looked at the manual and the other paraphernalia that came with the car but can’t find a reference to it. I wondered if it was something to do with the hi fi code but the numbers on it make no sense to me. I thought that if this was a standard issue item that someone out there would automatically know what it was. It may perhaps have been something to do with an aftermarket, non Ferrari specific item. It’s a little disconcerting to have code card but have no idea what it refers to.

Sorry I can't post pictures but it is described better than I can on about page 19 and/or a search here on code card will give some threads that describe it - it is something to do with the alarm system

It's to do with the alarm system, it doesn't really do or mean much.
It goes with the other card that you should have which has a picture of a key on it with 'mechanical code' and 'electronic code' - which is more important as you need this if the key stops working, it bypasses the alarm and immobiliser.
The only thing it has is what I would imagine is the serial number of the META alarm control unit, but it's totally irrelevant in the grand scheme of things as the number isn't needed.
Still best to keep it though......

Once again thanks LD, it did indeed come in the same pack as the key code card. The plastic card has the META logo on it so you are definitely correct that that is what it is.
