red pontoon fenders, Carmel-by-the-Sea

Wife, daughter and I were heading to the beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea yesterday (Sunday) at around 1pm when I look to my left and what do I spot heading uphill but a lovely red pontoon fender testa rossa. Talk about a truly rare sight to see!

It was really only a brief moment, but sir, if you're on this forum... the grin on your face just said it all.

 

I wish! Literally, we're driving down Ocean Ave and I believe I was at the stop sign at Lincoln or Dolores... look to my left and see distinctive pontoon fenders disappearing behind the median. And I see a man with a huge grin on his face, clearly enjoying the lovely weather.

I did tell the wife that a $16MM car just drove by. But we were on the way to the beach to take pictures with our first child, our beautiful 2mo old daughter... so I didn't even think about flipping around to take pictures of the pontoon fender testa rossa. That car isn't growing up quickly, so the moments with my daughter are far more precious.

Besides, my wife is a redhead, and I've been lucky enough to admire her daily for the last 12 years.

 

In Carmel? Most anywhere else, I'd say "You're probably right." But... in Carmel or perhaps Malibu... I'd say, "More likely the real deal."
