So yesterday I started coming down with a cold, Canada is starting to cool down which means cold season. Also it doesn't help when those stupid students decided to go to their lectures really sick cause they feel they can't miss any school. About 50/300 in my lecture seem to be hacking and sniffling, and I want to just punch them all in the head. And it always seems I end up sitting next to the worst ones. Anyways I have the sore/achy muscles going on, especially lower back, tight weird feeling throat, and congestion in my head, although my sinuses are still ok. The worst part is tonight I have an important party to attend, and yesterday I dropped money on a boss shirt, tie and slacks. Not going would be my last resort. I keep hearing everyone say how red wine cures a cold, so I've been thinking abut just buying a bottle of red to sip in tonight and pass up everything else. Apparently all the antioxidants rid the body of the germs. Anyone have an experience with this? Or any other tips? I am feeling like death.

I think that by the time you are feeling ill effects, the benefits of the
antioxidants will be too little too late.

So just make up for it by VOLUME :D At least you'll feel a little better....

Monday= beating up everyone who is coughing in my classes. Or wearing a novelty size gas mask, from the WWII era.

Go to a health food store and get some oil of oregano.

A couple of drops in a couple of ounces of water or juice.

It is the most vile-tasting stuff in history, like a combination of compost, chalk and skunk.

It works, though, and you'll feel better v quickly.

    Good luck,

    Neil

    Vitamin C and Vitamin A

But be careful with Vitamin A because it is fat soluable, which means you can take too much.

Bwah, put the theory to the the test. Went out feeling pretty damn horrid on saturday and finished a bottle of Jackson Triggs (I know I know, not the best, it was on sale and had to be consumed quickly). I thought it was just the alcohol that made me feel better, but I woke up Sunday morning feeling great. No headache, no sore muscles, no hangover, no congestion, nothing. Myth = plausible, I will have to test again next time I am sick.

No truer words have ever been spoken. Los Betos in Tucson cured more than one of my hangovers in college.

Thymex in high dosages will shake it. 15 caps 3x/day. I've used it to shake lots of things before. It's also used by MD Anderson cancer center because it's so good for cellular health.
