I was lucky to sign up and get a first offer in 2012. The wait time to get on the list must be at least 10 years and probably a lot longer. I would not sell a bottle but always happy to share. Took a bottle of MacDonald to a wine dinner with some very experienced drinkers. They drink mainly bdx, burgs and rhones and this exceeded their expectations by a large margin .
Ornellaia one of my favorites....believe it or not but they also make this...I know that this is a red wine thread..but forgive me this Image Unavailable, Please Login

Stocking up for the holidays. Found a full case plus some O’Shaughnessy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Found this old soldier in the back of the Cave. Had it with rack of lamb. Still drinking well but will not improve. 2001 an OK year; surprised this guy held up so well although it was properly stored since purchase. I have a bunch of 2000 vintage BdX that need to be consumed. Cheers! Image Unavailable, Please Login
A warm up exercise for tomorrow. 2010 Les Fortes de Latour. Lamb chops, braised carrots and apples, mashed potatoes. Image Unavailable, Please Login JK
Bon Pasteur was excellent- a good time to drink it- don’t think a few more years would add much. Had some nice casual wines last night. Happy Holidays Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Great minds think alike We had the 2001 Guigal. The lingering, residual tannins could give this 5 to 10 more years. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bet that was yummy. Right bank 2001’s were fantastic in general. Pomerol and St Emilion both have wines that are easily equal to their 2000 counterparts and 20 years is still young for many of those wines imho.
Color me jealous, would love to have this wine at age 20! Worked thru a case of the 1982 at age 20-25 and it was just great. I imagine the 2000 is same level or better…would love to read your take on the 2000…
I wish I had tried more of the 1982 vintage - it was legendary. 2000 is one of my favorites for drinking right now - most of the wines are at or near peak and won’t improve much past 25 years (some exceptions especially with large format). Both right and left bank produced well and some of the value 2000’s to me are stunning. What are some of your favorites? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Going to try this one with steak tomorrow night. Very interested to see if it’s held up. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I posted previously about all of the 82s a friend and I purchased together as futures. We bought 8 cases. Between the two of us we have only three bottles left that we have committed to drink together. On is a La Lagune, the second Trotanoy and the last LLC
The wine was spectacular. Very tight at first but the nose told of what was to come. An hour later and it had come to life and was in full gallop. Very impressed. Probably could have waited another 5-10 years but I have no regrets. On that theme, I plan on opening a bunch of big cellar reds for NYE.
