I have used Redline Lightweight Shockproof (Smurf blood) in my transmission for awhile now. In fact I switch back & forth between that & 75/90NS because I can not tell which is really better for my car.

But this was on there website when I checked yesterday....never saw this before.

The website is here: Red Line Synthetic Oil - ShockProof® Gear Oils - Lightweight ShockProof®

    Thoughts?

As I have said here before (citing that specific warning)-- it is safe to say that Redline knows more than the Internet when it comes to choosing what oil should be used in a particular application. While a non-recommended oil might seem to work okay initially, it could very well cause problems over the long term, which could turn out to be very costly in our cars. Your Ferrari engine will make more power running 0 weight oil, but it most likely will not last as long. There is a reason why a specific oil is recommended for a specific application.

I have a long background as an automotive professional but my oil knowledge does not begin to compare with the engineers that formulate oils, so I don't try to outguess them. I'm running NS now and love it, but may try Amsoil in the future since the best shifting 348 I've ever driven used it. I will never use Shockproof unless Redline removes that warning and specifically approves it for our cars.

That is my *opinion*, based on years of real world experience with automobiles. Redline would be a better source of factual info though. Why not call and ask them directly, making sure to remind them that the gearbox does indeed have a pump and filter.
