1. got real tired of the sticky inside door handles and console on my 512M 2. removed door handles and console carefully and sent to stickynomore.com per advice of this forum. was delayed slightly because i did not remove instruments from console. 3. received all parts back promptly in a like new condition 4. reassembled all, used stabilant on all electrical contacts (per my328.com forum), and was back on the road this past weekend. 5. had a problem with reconnecting all the console wiring.......2 yellow and 2 black wires got switched in my sketch and poor memory. after 1 hour with the wiring diagrams i figured out the .5 mm wires should go to the light and the 1.5 wires should go to the selector switch unit. 6. all is well now and i am pleased with the results.
Good to hear from you!!! Look forward to checking it out..... Have you downloaded your wiring schematics? They can be found around the Internet.....
Hey John, glad to hear. I've got a bit of skickiness as well. Dreading the removal part, mainly of the inside door handles (I've already done the console.) Glad to hear you got it all back together on that fantastic "M" car.
a) i did finally complete the Wiring Diagram and Legend Cross Reference and Index. as i mentioned in a post here, the Index is available to anyone upon pm request. b) the index is an excel worksheet which can be sorted or manuipulated as needed. i will also help you with that. c) Adam H, the doors are easy after you remove the upper armrest cushion on the door. i loosened the door panel lower screws and inserted a bar up to the cushion underside. a couple of hammer blows and the tight fitting cushion popped right off. then simple removal of the door cable plastic keeper and the 2 screws holding in the door handle and bucket good luck
