Anyone know just exactly what that wire goes to that is prone to fuse melting? Is it the fan blower, or something else?

He has a 348 - is it the same in the 355?

Still a little fuzzy... A/C compressor is what is hinted. Is that correct?

i believe that fuse is for the electric fan that draws air thru the front a/c condenser, which is located behind the front bumper.

On a 355 it is definitely the A/C compressor clutch. Don't know if it is the same or not on a 348.

On a 348 it melts because of the high electrical load created by the fan , its a 30 amp fuse, a/c compressor clutches are a simple magnet and do not draw enough amps to melt a fuse and wire, and are typically lower amps such as 15 or 20

Yeah, the wire that comes out of the compressor clutch is a tiny little thing with a small connector. Definitely not a high amp set up.
