    Can someone share some understandable light on how to get my UK car registered in Italy (= Italian Number plate).

    Noting that I am not yet an Italian Resident.
    I would like to get it registered so the sheer number of times I get stopped might be reduced.

    I'm currently using the guide here. I'm still in the early stages though, my car's still in Seattle waiting for the ship to arrive.

    Why don't you try one of the ACI offices, I think the headquarters are in Rome, the contact detaIls are at the bottom. I had a friend who worked there, but he's no longer with us.

    New or vintage car? I went through the process with a Countach which came in from outside the EU; for a vintage car there are a few additional steps.
