Hello Just an FYI I was having problems with my recently rebuilt alternator not charging. My generator light was on and would not go out. Battery was 12 volts with car running. Used Ferrarichat threads to test voltage on D+ wire , power at fusebox, etc….. but eventually disassembled the alternator. removed the voltage regulator and found that it had not been replaced during the alternator rebuild and was heavily oxidized. Brought it into the local shop and the owner suggested a Regitar V4-B0179M. $22 ca. He said the Transpro voltage regulator in my unit was known to be bad. Works amazing! The main reason I am bothering to post this is the price and also that the “generator light” goes off immediately at start-up instead of having to rev the car to get it to go out. I am convinced this is related to the new voltage regulator (Getting voltage higher on D+ GV wire than on GN wire at start-up) and an indication of how superior it is to the “Transpro” voltage regulators currently in a lot of Bosch alternators. Again just a quick FYI. Didn’t see this on Ferrarichat anywhere. All the best. Brent
