Attempting to reinstall the quick connect for the F-1 clutch.

As seen in the picture, knurled section of the connector is pushed back and refuses to move forward to engage the male section.

Any tricks to make this happen?

    Thanks for your help.

I just connected the same thing on my Lamborghini, actually swapped out a cracked Lamborghini connecting block with the Ferrari part ($1500 vs $200), and it connected like you're saying and the outer section just needs a hard pull to lock it. The Lamborghini tech I know warned me that it was hard to connect.

One thing to look at. I received two Ferrari blocks and they had two different male connect fittings. Make sure you're not trying to attach the hose to a different fitting.

And make sure you bleed it once connected.

Thanks for all the quick replies!

Removed some of air manifolds and was able to engage the replacement quick connect. It just sort of "snicked" into place. On to bleeding now. Have been instructed to allow the system to prime, then with an assistant, have the assistant open the bleeder, allow to run a bit, then close. Shift into 1, then have the assistant open, then close and repeat for all gears.

    Sound correct?

    Thanks again.

Yes or you can connect the two leads from the f1 and the pump runs continuously.

you can run the motor all day long.To get it to bleed you have to pull the paddle after the motor has primed.

Bleeding has been completed and the system is running flawlessly. Touch wood.

Interesting on the volume of fluid delivery when neutral was selected, where during the gear selections, the fluid only dribbled out. We continued the process till clear fluid was finally delivered all the while monitoring the fluid level in the reservior.

The quick connector is NLA via Ferrari but one was located on the used market in Italy. Even used, it was still stupid money for the connector. Such is life.....

Straight forward. No drama at all.

Ignition on and allow F-1 pump to pressurize the system. Open bleeder and see what comes out, close bleeder.

Go to neutral, open bleeder and while fluid is coming out, close bleeder. Go to 1 and open bleeder, close with what is a small amount of fluid coming out. Do this for each gear forward and for reverse. Be sure to monitor fluid in reservoir. Continue this process till you see clear fluid and no froth. Be sure to empty the fluid in the catch bottle which has air incorporated in it. Use the specified fluid for this system. Was told not to use just any ATF.

Probably used 4-5 oz of fluid to get all the air out. We did it twice, just to make sure. (Me in car making the shifts and directing the assistant when to open/close the bleeder.)

    It is easy

    Hope this helps.

PS: The above process is to bleed the system post actuator. If actuator gets air into it, have been told the car would need service from Ferrari or other qualified source that has the appropriate computer for this work.
