Releasing Brake Pedal Rod

Just out of curiosity, what’s everyone using to release the actuator rod going to the brake booster from the brake pedal? I made a release tool to push on the sides of the plastic clip to release the ball on the Quattroporte but the parts seem to be same on 599/612. I was wondering what is the proper way to release it. It seems like a real pain, if even possible, to do using just screwdrivers or any other normal tool.
