Looks like I'll be relocating to the NW from Texas. Looking in the Bellevue area for housing next week. Curious as to how many Maserati drivers are up in the Seattle area. I currently own a '05 GS and have greatly enjoyed taking it out on some of the Texas backroads. Are there some great driving roads outside of Seattle? Is FOS the only dealer/service in town...how has your experience been with them...I currently use ParkPlace in Dallas. Look forward to seeing some of you around town...

    Hello,

If you're looking to move to the Bellevue area, you'll be close to some very nice backroads. I suggest you join the Northwest Region FCA and join in the fun. We're a very active group (check past threads for event photos).

FoS is the only place in the area for servicing the new Maseratis. They're a good crew and have treated me and my Ferrari well over the years.

    We'll see you soon.

That's good advice from Willis. We have some great runs - the roads are great! I think you'll find it very scenic compared to what you are used to.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to chat - I also relocated from Texas to this area - about 10 years ago. I'm still loving it!

Great looking car, very similar color to my 78 308. I live in Enumclaw, which is about 40 minutes south east from Bellevue and the roads are great out here. Generally speaking, you need to go a few miles north, south, or east to find any great roads in your new neck of the woods. Good advice on joining the local club.

Join the NWFCA and pick up a copy of Destination Highways Washington. I haven't had much time to join in the drives recently but the group has been very friendly.

Get a Valentine 1 Radar detector, the city of Bellevue receives over 2 million dollars in revenue each year from traffic tickets and should you wish to take it to court the laws have been modified for traffic offenses so that they DO NOT have to show reasonable doubt to convict you.

Bellevue traffic court is absolutely biased AGAINST the driver and there is no possibility for taking traffic school to dismiss the infraction.

Should you still decide to proceed to Bellevue court and find your Judge is named Jackie, get out your checkbook...don't ask me how I know.

Luckily, I've not had a speeding ticket since 1990 (I'm obviously not trying hard enough! Though I have been stopped 3 times, including a 70 in a 40 -- boy was he mad that he didn't have his radar gun on me). But, my wife got nabbed a year or so ago, and they offered the "deferral" option where the fine is paid but is not reported to your ins-co or appear on your record unless you get nabbed again in a certain period. Not sure that it's a great deal or not, but it sure is the no-hassle option.

Is that Jeannie the so called "ticket lady" at MS ?

Thanks for all of the responses/info...including legal help should I need it. I will definitely look into the two clubs...and I am excited about the new driving experiences to come. I do have a V-1 and a Laser Echo diffuser...both have come in handy down here in Texas. My wife and I will be up end of this week to look at houses...the one in the picture goes on the market on Wed. I plan to have my car transported up in mid-Nov...right after its 6k checkup...as I'll probably be in temp housing for awhile as the whole house thing settles out. Look forward to meeting some of you for a drive. Cheers...

100k?!? What kind of offer is that Marty?
Geez, why don't you just offend the guy to the point where he doesn't want to move up here!

Seriously Tylercoupe, please accept the NW's apology on behalf of MW575.....I'll give you 110k!

Based on the offers...I am expecting the home prices in the NW to be a downright bargain. And here I was thinking I would have to pay 2X+ Perhaps Marty and I could just swap and call it a day(inclusive of whats in our respective garages). I am relatively close to Lake Tyler vs. Lake Oswego. Truth be told this is not my first exposure to NW humor...I went to U of O (thats right...I'm a Duck) and high school in Beaverton OR. I do look forward to getting back...I will have to pull out the full-cord grips and get use to the golf ball not running like it does on the Texas hardpan...after finding some good roads, the golf courses will be next.

Ducks are typically hunted on NW Gulf Courses...
Wait a minute, our dawgs our hybernating for a while, so you should be safe to move around freely and unbothered.

Kie's Ducs are fun....but haven't you seen the part of the Ride The Ducks trip where they go down Broad street and get REALLY crazy by waving their hands in the Air like a roller coaster drop? EXCITING!
