Timo, my friend, really appreciate your exquisite appreciation for things well done. It is such an effortless pleasure to work this way. Notice the word 'pleasure', as in achieving... You can always go through life, making things appear as they were, albeit bogus, with systems that were not even thought of at the time Ahhh, don't worry, no one will see it! But I will, and that, is pure unmitigated pleasure. Best, Alberto
Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that ^^ over the decades. OTOH, that’s one of the reasons I don’t offer my services to general public … … or make the money I could if I didn’t take my preferred approach to restoration.
It can be a bit galling when you do the work to maintain originality and make things just as they were from the factory, (maybe a little more functional), and people will inevitably walk up and say "nice paint".
Nice, is like: Little Lots Many Few Original Factory A lot of useless and dysfunctional words that mean absolutely nothing. How about, how much Bondo is under the 'nice paint'?
Well, some more. The ft. inner part of the pod has to made separately, then mated to the outside. Enjoy more of the same. Meanwhile we're looking for the right thread for the 'map drawer' Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Discovered that the outer pod wants to shrink on itself, the inner one, once installed will keep the correct shape. Regards, Alberto
Removal of under-dash tray. Bit of a pain, as wiring loom already there. The only way to do a good job, and fortunately not fully assembled yet. Regards, Alberto Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi Alberto. I think I have spare L vents somewhere. Do you still need them? If so, I’ll take a look. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

Today, a busy day, loading a container with 20 tons of coffee... Started at 3 AM. Image Unavailable, Please Login After, back at the farm, an update on the L series dashboard. It is completely finished, all the components are ready. Tomorrow we start our Nat.'l holidays for 6 days, so off for a well deserved R&R....not Towards the end of next week, I will post photos of all components of the L (11+!). Meanwhile, it has been brought to my attention that an RHD dashbord(s) is (unattainable) and is in demand in OZ. As the one in the M series is still to be upholstered, we took advantage of the opportunity to start pulling a mould, then will reverse all components and from LHD...to RHD. All smoke and mirrors...Will leave the radio cutout outline, optional to be cut out or not. It will be an entertaining project Below, the regular dash. We discovered that this one is only 2 layers of 'glass, and as usual cheaply made. The pod is the same. This is an A/C car, so ignore if 3 vents is standard.
