    Has anyone tried remapping the ecu and TCU themselves using a tuning interface ? I read of people sending their ecu ‘s off to someone else or taking their cars to a tuner but what about diy tuning ?

    Before you invest any time or money in a retuning project, I suggest dropping @360trev a message. He's the 360 ECU guru around here and if it can be done, he's done it. He's pretty open with questions so if you ask him a direct question, he'll probably give you a decent answer. If you want to know more about what he's done, search for his other posts. A few minutes conversing with him could send you in the right direction and probably save you weeks of effort.

    Thanks for the replies which and I’ll follow up on the suggestions . I recently installed a Holley sniper on my ac cobra and after lots of research etc have really enjoyed the tuning exercise which really involves fuel and spark maps and other parameters . As long as one cannot do irreversible damage by tuning the ecu and TCU on the 360 this is what I plan to do . I have already changed the timing belts and set cam timing properly with a degree wheel not just using the factory markings on the rear of the cams . But this is a mechanical exercise so all pretty easy . I’ll contact 360 trev and discuss with him. I’ve built 8 350 sbc engines and am busy rebuilding a clk 350 merc engine so engine mechanics don’t frighten me it’s just the electronics which could be a challenge !
