Jayson... sorry I didnt bother to read the entire thread.... but the jist is that some ppl actually paid and showed up with cars to run this mess?

 

9 people paid 5k each? Ouch....
*edit* Wasn't he a forum sponsor? It says sponsor under his name, and I remember seeing a tiny little banner for the run when visiting the page sometimes.

Seems like everyone wants to cash in and host a run somewhere.

 

That's the problem with "runs". Most of them tend to be focused on extracting the dollar than providing the goods. That's one of the reasons I'm thinking about doing Player's Run this year. They've got the best reputation for delivering a chill experience. And like Gumball and Bullrun... they actually happen.

Oh well. At least there are three runs out there that actually go... even if all the others seem to have their problems. :-/

 

Then there's NYMC, who spends 100% of its membership dues on events for its members.

 

I thought all the members dues went to that fund we setup to help provide Paris Hilton and Britney Spears with underwear? The poor dears have fallen on such bad times, they can't even afford to cover up their babymakin' holes! What a shame.

Players Run is cool with me, I met Players Markus at JRVs Texas Running of the Bulls event and actually spoke with him just the other day on the phone..

Yeah, I spoke with Michael the Thursday before the run. He wanted me to drag up my crew from Playboy TV and meet them at the Lambo of LV dealer for a party. I told him I'd get back to him and knew we could not do anything with it. I hate to be used to legitimize a franchise, but it happens. So I never leave the house, except for tacos 4 hours away in Ensenada, right Emil?

 

Wow. Sucks. I wonder if the top five got to keep the GPS units. haha
