There are some great articles on him today, such as Leclerc remembering him; he was Charles' mentor, eight years older. See Motorsport.com for example. RIP
Remembering the guy who screwed up F1 forever:: Red Flags for non-running cars on track--ship:: we used to have people run across the track to service drivers getting out of cars with other cars running by at full speed. Now, the slightest problem screws the whole qualifying setup and timing; essentially ruining the whole race (the next day). Safety cars blow race winning leads, and .....Grrrrrrrrrrr. It used to be that qualifying was 1 hour (60 minutes and not a second longer), and you could program you TV recorder to get all of it. Now with weather delays and red flags, you have to record 30-45 minutes longer than the schedule. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Although I do like Q{1,2,3} format. Sure I remember him--just not in the way you probably want me too.....
