How the years they fly by, how the memories they seem so real, it seemed like just yesterday I came home from school that fateful Tuesday, early due to the exams I was writting and upon turning on the television I was confronted by a reporter standing on a building. Behind him was the World Trade Center and at the exact moment the second plane hit.

The shock and horror hit me like a wall, those images so shocking, the reports from ground level, people running, even far away in Africa I was numb in shock as the terrible events unfolded.

The years have done nothing to diminish the human tragedy of that day. Every year my thoughts go out to those that lost loved ones, people who lost co workers, fire fighters who died.

To my American friends my thoughts are with you tomorrow and may there never such a horrific loss of innocent life as there was on that fateful day.

Well said. Life has changed forever, bringing on war that will go on many more years. We just can't bring our guard down or we will be surprised again. Someone will always want to do harm to free loving people all over the world.

    Remember 9/11
    Remember Pearl Harbor
    Remember the Lusitania
    Remember the Maine
    Remember the Alamo

I lived through the Depression as a child of six and seven and remember painful cold and hunger but our family managing to make it. I served during WW2 after seeing our family get things going again and then went to school and did all the other stuff. I have seen this country rise from one problem after another and pick it up to continue on its path. Now this attack on 9-11-2001 joins the other bothersome jabs that we have sustained ...like Pearl Harbor. Yes, it was a deep jab but we threw it off and rose above it even stronger. I address the radicals and other demented trash that think that they are doing great damage to us and tell you that your efforts are puny and are no more than a pin prick to the greatness of this country and its people who are resilient beyond your comprehension. Your desperate efforts to hurt us are testament to your minuscule place in the society of rational people and displays your lack of understanding of how you can change the things that you oppose. If you want to achieve that by martyrdom, I'm sure there are some who will oblige you without your having to kill thousands of innocent people. If you think that we should change, let's have talk.
