For Mark, but for all those who may be interested and who forgot about it: at the end of June I have organized a Liguria/Tuscany driving trip exclusively for good, dedicated drivers who like nice roads, great food and superb wine.

    The program is as follows:

26/6 meeting in Switzerland - location TBD (probably Sargans like last year)
Travel to S. Margherita Ligure (near Portofino).
    Dinner in famous U'Giancu restaurant
    Hotel Minerva with reserved garage
    27/6
Walk to Portofino, shopping, boat trip to surprise location for a very, very exclusive lunch.
    28/6
Take off around lunchtime direction S. Gimignano.
Drive some seriously twisty roads in Tuscany.
Evening dinner in farmhouse in the tuscan hills, with nice swimming pool.
    29/6
You can either relax and do what you prefer, or...
...Drive some seriously twisty roads to Radicofani (Mille Miglia route). Lunch in Radicofani restaurant (NO tourists, really beautiful country).
    Dinner at the farmhouse
    30/6
You can either relax... blah blah... swimming pool... or...
...Drive some seriously twisty roads to Montalcino (buy some wine), Val D'Orcia, Pienza.
OR you can visit beautiful Siena (there is a large, safe underground car park)
    Dinner at the farmhouse.
    1/7
Drive the Mille Miglia Route (Raticosa/Futa) to Modena.
Possible visit to Maserati, Ferrari or Lamborghini (difficult to organize).
    Dinner in Modena.
    Hotel with safe garage.
    2/7
Drive back home! Since it's a saturday, those who live very far can still break the trip by sleeping in Switzerland one more night.

    Currently booked:

    Wolfgang - Testarossa
    Ueli + girlfriend - Mondial T
    Simon + girlfriend (?) - 328 GTB
    Patrick - F355 GTS
    Andrea + Rachel - 550M
Giovanni - Lotus Elise (he's a friend of mine, ex. F.3 driver, really nice guy)
Eugenio + Maura will join us in S. Margherita

    Friends we'll badly miss:

Ton, Trevi, Mark, Marc, Didier, Christoph and many more... come on guys, you can do it!!

It sounds amazing. I would LOVE to come but realistically it is unlikely as I am committed to a summer holiday in Marrakech (cannot wait, didn't go away last year as we moved), and obviously Scotland. Also Zoe's brother moved to Israel in January and we would like to visit him there this year at some point. So I am pretty much committed to my annual leave for the year already!

That said, never say never!...it's only 2 hours by air which obviously means leaving the f behind but if anyone's got a passenger seat they wouldn't mind sharing then that's a more feasible idea timewise. Could be in Florence on the Wednesday/Thursday?!??!

Then I can make good Andrea's promise of a test drive!!! ;o)

    Andrea,
thanks a lot to take all the effort to organize the 2nd Tuscany drive.
The schedule sounds (as usual) fantastic and well organized.
    I`m realy happy loking forward!
Lotus Elise/Giovanni/ex F3 driver.....mhmmm...pffffff....damn, you give us a real challenge - think nobody can get him on those country roads. Good choice to take this car for the trip! God bless, there will also be a part of the trip on the highway:D

    Yes, I agree:

Make it the 23rd, you'll need all the time to relax after the traffic jams in Germany. Threes days massage and sauna....ahhhhh

BTW Have you read the post in the UK section 'No letter from Lamborghini' by 5to1? Sounds like he was having trouble with Tamsen Lamborghini. I told him to PM you.

I will meet you in Bad Ragaz on the morning of June 26. If you guys come from Germany on the 25th, you have the whole evening to relax in the nice hotel before the serious driving begins!!

I will let Simon deal with this hotel reservation, since it seems like he's already planned it all!

    300km/h on the speedometer = 270 Km/h real :)

Just don't do it in Switzerland - I wouldn't want anyone to spend the week in an Appenzeller jail!!! :)

Well, before we start here a long TR top-speed discussion:
Read some SERIOUS datas, track tests about the TR (hint, hint 295km/h). Feel free to add: Tubistyle with straight test pipes and K&N filter.
