My son and I went to the local Hobby Town several weeks ago. When we pulled up, two guys were playing with a gas powered radio controlled road racing car inthe parking lot. They were tuning it, it had no body on it. I was amazed at how fast it was!

Then they finished up and installed the thin plastic body on it, all painted up to perfection..... and it was a 1967 330P4 coupe!

My son and I had driven up in my Daytona. The two guys playing with the car had not noticed us. They saw the Daytona about the same time we caught on to the P4 bodywork for the model. It was perfect.... equal freakout on both sides!

    That was one cool model.

I built a Tamiya McLaren a few years ago, but still haven't gotten around to buying a radio/servo/battery package. Any suggestions? It's only for fun, so I don't need top-line competitive gear.

For well under $100, you can get a great radio package from Hitec, Futaba, Airtronics or JR. They are all good.

I'm waiting for Fry's to decide they're overstocked with the Nikko F2003GA F1 Ferrari car. Then I'll swoop in and buy one on the cheap.

The true hobbyist will never buy a Nikko, they are toys that will fall apart. Go to www.horizonhobby.com or www.towerhobbies.com and look for the same type of Ferrari model. It will cost more, but will last for more than two months (or weeks).

I have a Kyosho Mini-Z. They cost around $130 and so far I've put around $100 into it. They have some ferrari and lambo bodies for it too. I have a banged up Red Ferari 360 Modena body and a Mercedes AMG CLK racing body!
