    hello again...

would somebody be so kind and tell me how I can install a switch in my cockpit to remotely open and close the valve in the Exhaust of my maranello?

A friend of mine has it in his 599 GTB and it works perfectly. I asked his garage to do it and they gave me a quote of USD 2'500.- I just cant belive that this mod can be so expensive

    thank you very much

Bot Capristo and Kreissieg make remote control solenoids to replace the one in your car. A small remote control unit allows you to control the valves. Capristo makes a more expensive model that allows you to program when the valves will open.

I do not know anybody who has rigged a switch in a Maranello. Should not be hard to do, though, and certainly not $2500.

It could be done for much less, but you really only get a benefit for a small RPM range. If you really want sound, swap the mufflers and/or resonator.

    Thank you for your help.

@ Driftracer: The reason why I want the remote switch is because I already have a resonator. the combination with a muffler would be to loud for switzerland. I have tried both valve open and valve closed and yes you are right it only makes a small difference but I love that idle growl with the valves open. The local police however doesn't like it as much as i do ;-)

    Regards

Thank you so much for always helping me with my posts. I very much appreciate it. I also thought it can't be to hard but then again I am not a specialist.

On the Kreissieg HP I could not find a simple control unit. It doesn't have to be "wireless-remote-controlled"... I'd prefere a switch that I could put in the ashtray.

    Cheers

That makes perfect sense! Police tend not to be much fun.
