Somebody knows if it is possible fo fit the (factory optional) removable roof to an existing 360? This option has been ordered not very often - why?

Mainly, because its FUGLY. No doubt it would be a staggering expense to do this. If you want open air buy a spider, the sun roof really is c r a p.

Yes as the above mentioned it would be most likely expensive, teh part more than anything to aquire.

However I have the sunroof roof on my coupe and I like it, I am a targa top lover but not a convert lover. The true hard core ferrari guy doesn't like the roof becuase it ruins the lines and such, but it is nice to have the wind blowing in your face.

To each their own. Obviously yoo like it so much you want to spend money to convert one.

I saw one in the corner of a picture I had .. don't remember if I still have the picture. It was at a big Ferrari event.
It didn't look very good but if I find the pic I'll post it.

    Edit: Found it: ... I'm pretty sure it's a 360 ... might be a 550...

I think its a 550 judging by the placement of the gas cap and the slightly raised rear edge. Also, I cant see any intakes behind the doors along the top of the body, like the 360 has. Interesting picture....

EDIT: after a little searching I found yes, it is a 550 heres another picture, looks like the same event? http://www.fca-houston.org/images/Spa2002/550Barchetta2.jpg

The 2002 360 Modena I owned had one. I haven't a clue why anyone would order it. I would bet that the buyer had no idea what he was ordering and I am sure the factory welcomed charging him a couple of grand to put a hole in his roof with a hatch. It's ugly (my opinion) and it is a hassel to stop, take it off, stow it and drive on for such a small hold in the roof (it looks like a hole in the roof with it off). If you want the pleasures of the wind in your hair buy a spider...much more beautiful and a far better experience. In any event, forget Ferrari's idea of a "sun roof".

    Don't do it!

If it didn't come from the factory with one, don't do it! You will absolutely kill the resale of the car, and it is a sorry excuse for a sunroof.

I wonder if it is actually a CS.

It appears to road registered and it has two seats. Doesn't the Challenge only have the drivers seat normally? There are some more shots & they show better that it has plexiglass side windows on both sides.

It is hard to tell. The seats are CS seats, not Challenge seats. My friend has two seats in his Challenge car so he can give rides, but theyt normally only have one.

The front facia and carbon mirrors are the same as on a CS.

Hood pins don't come with the CS and the side windows look weird. They are 3 pieces not 2 pieces like the CS my friend has.

The stripe is wrong, but we all know the stripe doesn't matter since lots are aftermarket anyways.

Does anyone know if CS's had the headlight washers? My friends CS doesn't and I'm pretty sure the Challenge cars don't. Maybe the Euro CS's had the headlight washers just like the Euro 360's.

I've checked on my friend's CS and he does have the headlight washers. Seems like the car pictured is a CS. Can anyone blow up the area around the pic i'll post?

It would appear in Europe that headlamp washers were an option on the CS.

Here are a few links to some others taken by the same guy at different events.

I can't find a UK one but I'm sure they were an option here as well.
The bits that threw me on that one with the 'sunroof' were the bonnet locks & the windows. I even wondered if it was a standard 360 that had be CSised.

EDIT: Tonyh posted whilst I was doing mine. The head-on shot is hi-res shows it. It'll save someone blowing up the area on Tonyh's.
