Does anyone know how to remove the exhaust system from the rubber hings located after the center muffler ? They seem impossible to reach from underneath. Image Unavailable, Please Login
They are a pain, I remember. There's 3 per muffler, right? I thought that was excessive.... The way I did it, was to spray down the area where the rubber hangar is on the metal rod attached to the muffler assembly. Then, wrap a fender cover around a long pry bar, and pry the rubber hangar off the rod. Be careful though, the silicone will make it easy for the pry bar to slip off, & can damage things. The last time I did a 550 exhaust, I think 2 of the 6 hangars ripped during disassembly. Don't be suprised if this happens, they're not crazy expensive.
