i have been researching everywhere. apparently everybody knows how to do it, but me....
how do you remove the cover from the side moulding on a 85 305 QV?
separating part 24 and 28 from the attached (from ferrari parts).
i do not want to break anything, but i'd like to run a wire up there for a radar detector...

On my 83 GTB - your vinyl at the top of #24 looks like it's tucked behind the moulding, right? carefully coax and untuck the vinyl out. careful not to rip it as its old. slide the vinyl down about 1" where you'll find a very small black phillips screw holding the molding to #28. take out the screw. The moulding is now held in place by a metal spring clip near the base. Slide the molding up & off it pops. reverse the process for install.

Piece 28 pops off with a putty knife. Piece 24 can be removed by drilling out 2 rivets. Piece 25 can be removed with either 6 or 8 small screws depending on the year - I think an 83 has 6 screws. Good luck.

Yep, it just pops on and off. I think there are 3 clips.

When he pops #28 off what will be behind that trim?

I ask this becuase I've been thinking of poping this off myself as well (1989 GTS) to check my drain tube for a clog. Not sure if its seen after popping #28 off.

Trim #24 is behind. Must drill out 2 rivets to remove #24.

Could be screws too. Mine was but I'm not sure if that was original or not. Yep the center trim piece just pops out.
