    Hi everyone,

I have aftermarket speakers installed by the PO on the rear shelf next to the rear quarter windows in my GTS. The speakers are Philips EN-8241 (for example: Oldtimer PHILIPS EN-8241 designer auto lautsprecher paar SEHR SEHR SELTEN | eBay). Has anyone seen these before and knows how to remove them?

There seems to be a base - which I'm sure can be unlocked somehow. I prodded and poked, but couldn't get the damn thing lose. The window is already out.

    Happy for any suggestions.

    Best regards

It almost looks like those beed to slide off the base. The eBay photo shows scratches on the metal base and the plastic rib does not go all the way around, which makes me think they need to shift laterally so slide off the metal plate and then the metal plate can be unscrewed. Maybe you need to push down on them and slide them inward (away from the glass).
