I have a set of newer rear Konis/springs for my GT4 that I would like to swap out. I know many have done a full susp. rebuild here. Any pointers on removal/installation of the rear coilover? It looks as though the top bolt is the only real problem because of limited access.

Doug, I found that if you can con your wife into using the 10mm ratchet from the top and you using a 19mm ring spanner from inside the wheel arch on the inaccessible nut (obviously removing the innner guard to give yourself a bit more room) they come off relatively easy.

Just did this last weekend on my GT4 but I had to loosen the nut/bolt before I gave the rachet to the wife as they were all new nut/bolt combos and therefore the lock nuts were very tight.

The front ones I found harder to do.

    Hi
what John said plus be sure to support the hub carriers so that they don't drop when the shock is removed. Dropping will damage the CV Joint boot holders.
